Aloha! My name is Dyvonna-Jean Haia-Emmsle, and I go by DJ. I was born and raised in Lahaina and just like many in my hometown I have lost everything in the Lahaina wildfires. My nephew/son Kia' (3.5 yo, who I co-raise) and I, made it out in time when the chaos was happening. We've been complete disbelief of how bad and fast it all went down. We are still blessed to have our lives as many did not make it out in time! I have some family who live in other parts of the island who can house us for the time being, however all I have is my drivers license and an extra set of clothes. My community is unrecognizable and our hearts are heavy, we lost our homes, schools, churches, historic landmarks, and most heartbreaking lives of loved ones!! I humbly ask for any amount of donations that will help me and my family recover from this devastating event. Anything and everything helps and is so so appreciated!
